JMM and its allies secured 355 of the votes polled in the urban areas a 4 percentage point increase compared to 2014. The saffron partys vote share was more than 55 per cent in Jharkhand and 58 per cent in Haryana in the Lok Sabha elections. The JMM-led ruling coalition of Jharkhand retained Dumka and Bermo assembly seats in by- elections defeating the BJP albeit with drastically reduced margins from that of the 2019 state polls. At the end of the polling in 18 of 20 Assembly constituencies an estimated voter turnout of 5927 percent was recorded.
